RTU CGPA Calculator
Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) follows the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) for its engineering programs. Your CGPA is calculated as the weighted average of grade points across all courses, with each course weighted by its credits.
Grade scale
RTU uses a 10-point grading scale: O=10, A+=9, A=8, B+=7, B=6, C=5, E=4, F=0. Grade E is the minimum passing grade with 4 grade points.
| grade | grade point |
|---|---|
| O | 10 |
| A+ | 9 |
| A | 8 |
| B+ | 7 |
| B | 6 |
| C | 5 |
| E | 4 |
| F | 0 |
How it works
RTU uses the conversion formula: Percentage = CGPA × 10. The grade scale uses E as the minimum passing grade (4 grade points) rather than P or D. Enter your semester grades below.
Frequently asked questions
How does RTU calculate CGPA?
CGPA = sum of (credits × grade points for all courses) / sum of total credits across all semesters. The SGPA is calculated similarly for each semester.
What is RTU's CGPA to percentage formula?
RTU uses Percentage = CGPA × 10. A CGPA of 8.0 converts to 80%. Some older regulations may use (CGPA × 10) − 7.5 for specific purposes. Check your marks card for the formula applicable to your batch.
What is the passing grade at RTU?
Grade E (grade point 4.0) is the minimum passing grade. Grade F (grade point 0) indicates failure and requires re-examination.
